Hot dipped galvanized steel round bars are products that have undergone a galvanization process to enhance their corrosion resistance and durability. Structural grade round dowels are friction cut to length, not cropped. Galvanized dowels are commonly used in transportation infrastructure projects, such as highways and bridges, where exposure to harsh weather conditions and corrosive elements is a concern. The galvanization process is an effective way to enhance the longevity and performance of dowel bars in such applications.

They are available in a variety of standard, off-the-shelf sizes. Round dowels are manufactured from AS/NZS 3679.1 compliant Grade 300 steel, and are hot-dipped galvanised to AS/NZS 4680.

Round Dowel Bar Galvanised

Galvanised dowel bars are pre-cut lengths of round steel material, they are used to assist in thermal change and lateral movement in concrete slabs. One half of the dowel bar is set in concrete leaving the other end exposed to be joined to the connecting slab is poured at a later stage.
